As part of its mandate to protect drinking water supplies in Massachusetts, the Division of Water Supply sets standards to protect acquifers surrounding public water supply sources and makes grant funds available to localities for this purpose, currently pursuant to St 1982, c 286, ss 5 and 20. Series was created to administer this program.
